Dear God, through the intercession of Fr. Emil Kapaun, please grant to Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School the spiritual and material resources necessary for it to carry out its mission "to educate and form the total person in the image of Jesus Christ." Amen

It is with deep regret that we announce that on April 11, 2009,, our long-time French teacher and chair of our World Languages Department, Mr. Tom Peterka, passed away after battling the effects of pancreatic cancer. Mr. Peterka died peacefully, at home, with his wife and sons near him.
Mr. Peterka was a kind man, a wonderful teacher, a strong Catholic, an outstanding role model to his students, and a great husband and father. Throughout his teaching career he positively impacted thousands of students. We will all miss him greatly, but we have faith that he has moved on to the state in life to which we all aspire.
Mr. Peterka’s rosary was held Wednesday evening, April 22, at 8:00 pm at Downing and Lahey Mortuary West, near the intersection of Maple and Maize Roads. His funeral was Thursday, April 23, at 2:00 pm at the Cathedral.
Dear Tom,
May the angels lead you into Paradise.
May the martyrs come to greet you on the way.
May they lead you home to the holy city,
to the new and eternal Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels come to welcome you.
May they take you to the arms of Abraham,
Where Lazarus is poor no longer,
and there may you find rest, rest eternal.
