Eighth graders interested in or planning on attending KMC in the fall of 2026 need to mark their calendars for Future Crusader Day at KMC! On November 6, 2025 and November 13, 2025, small groups of students can attend to learn about KMC classes, activities, and sports available to them their freshman year. November 19, 2025: Pathways Night in main gym, 6:30 pm
This night features an overview of the different academic pathways at KMC, followed by two breakout sessions where students can further explore different pathways. The pathways include: Engineering, Healthcare, WSU Tech, Business, Computer Science, Education, Fine Arts (with breakout sessions for Theatre, Journalism, Music, and Art), and Computer Science. Information presented is important for all families new or veteran to Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Packets will be given out at the meeting, containing the following:
    Pre-ACT Placement Test Results for your student (results used to determine class placements and enrollment)
    Freshman Class Schedule Guidelines
    Form for Honors Testing (Math and Science)
    Athletics Brochure
    Clubs & Activities Brochure
    Letter from the nurse concerning Immunizations, Annual Health Update and Form for Administration of Medicine at School
    Program of Studies (available online; hard copies for the 2025-26 school year will be available at meeting)

January 30, 2026: Items Due to KMC
 From Feeder School/Parish:     
           Parish/Family Agreement (PFA) - this agreement will come straight from your parish to KMC.
           Grade School Recommendations (CSR) are sent from your child's school to KMC.
       Non-Feeder School Students Submit:
           Birth Certificate
           S1 Transcript from current school
           Letter of Recommendation from administrator and teacher from current school
       Home School Students Submit:
           S1 Transcript from current school
           Letter of Recommendation from current PSR teacher
           Submit evidence of the curricular program of study
           Provide documentation of instruction
           Proof of learning and record of achievement
February 2026: Notification of Acceptance/Deferment at KMC
Students will be formally notified of acceptance or deferment at KMC. Deferment can occur if Pre-ACT, forms, fees, etc. are not complete.
February 25, 2026: Learning Strategies Meeting in library, 6:00 pm
Meeting for students on an ILP and who anticipate needing support through their freshman year.
March 5, 2026: Freshman Enrollment (by last name) in auxiliary gym
4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. This is the first of three steps in the enrollment process. Your student's classes will be selected for the 2025-26 school year. You will receive enrollment guidelines and paperwork at the Placement Test Results Meeting on January 28, which you will need to bring with you to the enrollment. Teachers and counselors will be on-hand to guide you through the class selection process. Student attendance is recommended but not required. Parents, if you do not know your PowerSchool username or password, contact your current school to obtain this information. Enrollment will be in the auxiliary gym. Please come at one of the scheduled times, based on your last name:
A-H: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
I-O: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
P-Z: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Cum Laude: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
March 5, 2026: Cum Laude Meeting in commons (Invitation Only), 7:00 pm
This event is to highlight the accomplishments of the Cum Laude program as well as provide information to incoming families who have been invited to become part of this program.
April 15, 2026: 8th Grade Sports Meeting in main gym, 6:30 pm
The KMC Athletic Director will meet with families and share the expectations of being a KMC athlete, participation requirements and what summer conditioning will look like. KMC head coaches may be available to meet and offer information about their team. This meeting will be in the KMC Gym.
Any student attending KMC next year who plans to participate in athletics is required to turn in a KSHSAA Pre-Participation Physical Form before they can participate. This must be a hard copy. The physical must be dated May 1, 2026 or later to be valid. The form can be downloaded HERE. Others required forms are the KMC Parental Consent Form and the KSHSAA Concussion Release Form.

Spring 2026: Advanced Placement Testing
Test given to those wanting to test into Honors Algebra and Honors Biology.
June 2026: OPTIONAL Used Uniform Sale
Come early as items go quickly. The sale will be held in the KMC Commons, 7:00 am - 10:00 am; park in the student parking lot and enter at the commons doors.
July 2026: Online Registration (Completed through parent PowerSchool account)
