Congratulations to the following wrestlers who placed at the Goddard JV tournament this past Saturday: Timmy Dang-2nd, Cale Heady-2nd, Andrew Hutchins-3rd, John Jabara-2nd, Paul Lara-5th, Cole McAuliffe-1st, Gabe Pore-2nd, Jaxon Powers-1st, Noah Redcorn-2nd, Alex Rocha-5th, Austin Ruda-1st.  Make sure to come cheer for our wrestling teams on Thursday as we dual North High at North.  This weekend the varsity will be wrestling in the Raytown South Holiday tournament in Raytown, MO.  Good luck guys!

At the NSDA National qualifier tournament this weekend, Isabel Johnson and Catherine Torkelson placed in the top eight by making it to quarterfinals. Margaret Moore and Maddie Rowley won in their semifinals round, placing them in the top three and qualifying them for the national debate tournament in Dallas this June. 


Seniors: finals exemption forms are available in the office.  They are due no later than Friday, December 14 at 3:30.

Reminder to the bowling team: we will take team pictures immediately after school.  Please meet in the auxiliary gym lobby.

Don’t forget to bring in new toys for the music department toy drive for the Wichita Children’s Home.  They are collecting through Wednesday.

The last day for detention is Friday.  Any detention remaining after Friday will be converted into two service hours per detention.  Service hours must be completed AND RETURNED TO SCHOOL by noon on Thursday, December 20.  They must be school, parish or community service hours.  Family service hours will not be accepted.  Students WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO SCHOOL in January until the hours have been completed and turned in to the office.

Attention 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who will be “first generation” college students.  Newman University is offering a free STEM program that will give two hours of college credit.  See. Mr. Flax for details.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Knights of Columbus is sponsoring an essay contest for all STA 8th-12th grade students.  There are monetary awards for every grade level and the due date is January 25.  See Mr. Flax for more information.
