WWII Veteran Speaks To Students

Corporal Forrest Robinson came to Kapaun Mt. Carmel to share his participation in the liberation of Nazi concentration camps during World War II Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Having just finished their Holocaust projects, students in Crista Burnett’s US History II class were given a firsthand account about what exactly they had been presenting these last few weeks in class. Junior Katie Degenhardt said that his story gives a visual to what [students] are learning about.

Varsity Basketball Prepares to Face West in Last Game of Season

With 7-9 record so far, the varsity boys basketball team prepares to play West for the second time Thursday, Feb. 23. The previous game against West was Dec. 2, the first game of the season, in which KMC won 50-47.
“The players executed fairly well considering it was a new system and a new coach,” coach John Cherne III said. “Since then we have improved our performance and continue to get better each day.”

A Stolen Life: A Memoir by Jaycee Dugard is an autobiography that takes the reader from the moment she was kidnapped at age eleven to the weeks after she was recognized at a campus in California.
