Congratulations to the football team on their overtime win over St. James on Friday! Thanks to those super fans who made the trip. We need all of you this Friday when we travel over to Carroll.
A huge thank you to the many faculty, staff, alumni, and students that came to the Cessna Activity Center Saturday to watch the cross country team at the City League championship. The coaching staff and athletes appreciated the support. Erik Enriquez and Lizzie Niederee placed 3rd and 2nd respectively and are the top freshmen in the city. Eric Wright and Andrew Boeding earned medals in the JV boys race. The JV boys had the highest team finish in the last nine years, placing 3rd. The varsity girls had the highest team finish since 2006 placing 2nd. Erik Enriquez, Lizzie Niederee, and Emily Michaelis were named All City First Team. Mason Bina, Maddie Byrd, and Adam Hernandez were named All City Honorable Mention.
The KMC tennis team completed a very successful season with Clara Whitaker winning the singles title and Kelly House and Eleanor Baldwin winning the doubles title AND taking 3rd place as a team at the 5A State tennis tournament at Maize South. It was all Kapaun/Carroll finals again (just like city league and regionals) and the Crusaders triumphed once again! Congratulations ladies!
The peanut butter drive runs through Friday at 7:45 am. It is a house competition so please put your house initials on the top of all the jars.
There is a drum line meeting tomorrow in the auditorium at 3:45. Anyone who is interested in joining is encouraged to attend. All are welcome.
Thanks to the students who showed up at Koch Arena on Saturday to cheer and watch the KMC robot at the BEST competition.
Attention all Robotics members: There will be a meeting on Tuesday (tomorrow) starting in room 224. We will be sorting, cleaning, and tweaking the robot, so expect to work for at least one hour. If you cannot attend, you will need to see Mittman or Ritterhouse to determine how you will make up the needed time.
There will be a Knights of St. Cecilia meeting after school today at 3:15 in room 222.

Grandparents Day is coming! You’re grandparents are invited to join you for Mass and a reception on Wednesday, October 25. We need pictures of you with your grandparents to be included in the video. Please email a picture of yourself with your grandparents to Mrs. Sloan by Thursday, October 19. If you do not have a grandparents able to attend, please consider Foster Grandparents. You will be paired with a senior from the Catholic Care Center for the morning. You’ll make a new friend and be part of the Grandparents Day festivities. Limited signups are outside Mrs. Sloan’s office.

Cross country runners competing at regionals: practice is at College Hill today. All other cross country runners need to turn in their uniforms to Mr. Martens in room 203 by the end of the day today.
The Wichita Legal Professionals organization is offering two $500 scholarships to students who are interested in pursuing a career in a legal field or law-related business career. See your counselor if interested.
KU School of Engineering and KU Office of Admissions are hosting an Engineering Academic Showcase, on Monday, October 23 at Textron Aviation, One Cessna Blvd in Wichita. There will be current KU engineering students and faculty, and KU engineering alumni at the event to mingle and also participate in a Q&A panel. Light refreshments will be provided.
