Today’s 130th fact is: in 1951, Mount Carmel Academy tuition and board was $500 per semester. There were extra fees for sewing, science, voice, piano, foods, drama and typing.

Friday is a Spirit Day. Passes will be sold at lunch today and tomorrow for $1 and before school Friday for $2.

There is a 1:30 dismissal tomorrow. Please arrange to be picked up by 1:45.

We are on a 2:20 activity schedule Friday.

Quill & Scroll is hosting a Used Book Drive to benefit the International Rescue Committee, an organization that helps with recently resettled refugees. Please donate new or gently used books to the boxes in your English classrooms by Friday.

Come out to Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers tonight for the KMC Project Prom fundraiser. Visit either east side Freddy's locations, Central and Rock or 13th Street and Greenwich, from 5-9 pm, mention KMC Project Prom and a portion of the nights proceeds will go back toward our after-prom party at Wichita Sports Forum.

It's time for the Teacher & Staff Person of the Year awards!  Please nominate your favorite teacher in two categories: New Teacher, who has been at KMC for 1-3 years; and Experienced Teacher who has been at KMC for more than 3 years.  You may also nominate your favorite non-teaching staff member.  Those who have won in the past five years are not eligible for this award.  Nomination forms and a list of eligible teachers are posted near the class bulletin boards. All nominations are due by 3:30 pm on Friday, April 13 – teacher nominations to Ms. Valliere in the front office and staff nominations to Mr. Vanek in room 125.
