2007-08 Alumni Participation Contest
Hello, Mount Carmel Academy, Chaplain Kapaun Memorial and Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School alums!
Which alumni class can best support KMC and the 2007-08 Annual Fund? Is your class the Annual Fund Alumni MVP (Most Valuable Patrons)?
You can help your class to stand up and be recognized!
The challenge goes out to all alums in all classes to support your KMC Annual Fund and to help KMC continue in its mission to “educate and form the total person in the image of Jesus Christ.” Your gift, along with those of the other alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, students and others is used to help support the day-to-day operation of the school. (The Annual Fund is not a capital campaign; gifts are not used for support of the Facilities Master Plan.)
Alumni classes can win in two categories, based upon gifts received by June 30, 2008:
- The classes with the top three percentages of participation in this year’s Annual Fund in both the
small class (50 students or less in the active class) and large class (greater than 50) categories. - The class raising the most money during this year’s Annual Fund.
A banner recognizing our Annual Fund 2006-07 Alumni MVP classes was unfurled from the ceiling of the KMC gym during halftime of the 2008 KMC vs. Bishop Carroll boys varsity basketball game on December 21, 2007. Members of the winning classes were given free admission to the game and were recognized during the recognition ceremony.
Mailings for the 2007-08 Annual Fund were sent during August, 2007. If you did not get yours or have misplaced it, don't fret! You need not have this to make your gift for the upcoming year, which began on July 1, 2007. Your participation via a gift is most welcome! Or you may make a pledge to the Annual Fund, not payable until June, 2008, by clicking HERE.

Contest Specific Rules:
1. The contest for the 2007-08 fiscal year will end on June 30, 2008.
2. A total of seven (7) awards will be given in 3 areas:
a) The top three (3) classes in percentage of participation in the small class category (50 students or less).
b) The top three (3) classes in percentage of participation in the large class category (51 students or greater).
c) The class that raises the most actual dollars in paid pledges for the duration of the contest.
3. For the purposes of the contest, Annual Fund gifts received from married couples who are each alums will have their gifts credited as follows:
a) If each is a member of the same graduating class, the dollar value of their gift will be counted in full and credit
given to their graduating class.
b) If each is a member of a different graduating class, the dollar value of their gift will be credited 50% to each of their
graduating classes.
c) In each case each of the alums will be given credit for making a gift for the purpose of calculating the
participation percentage for their respective classes.
4. Winning classes as defined in (2) above will be recognized on a banner to be unfurled from the ceiling of the KMC gym at the 2009 Bishop Carroll vs. KMC basketball game. Members of the seven winning classes will be admitted free of charge to the games
that evening and will be invited to center court at halftime of the boys game for the unfurling ceremonies.
